No Way!

So, I just got a new scale. I haven't been weighed since I went to get my TB test. Well, I finally got it to work and I have lost 10 pounds already! At work I walk around 5,000 to 9,000 steps a day. I am so excited and it is a real motivater.

Although, once I finally got exercise shoes and exercise clothes, this would be the week to do it. Until I woke up and it was *cough, cough.*

So...

I have been obsessed with belly dancing for years. I do believe that the fad has come and passed. Lately, since I have been researching about belly dancing, knowing that soon I will be an active belly dancer for fitness, I have been watching videos and thinking, I want to do that. I am pretty sure my niche will be tribal. I have lately been considering trying to see if i could become a professional someday. I mean, I am trying to be everything else. I might as well try that. It will also give me a goal to keep learning and trying and keep fit. I decided to tell Mark and he said that I am being ridiculous and it's just a fad. :( That hurt. Now, I want to prove him wrong. *shifty eyes*

What?! No way!

Today I used my new pedometer. Today was also a snow day. Well, that meant I could work a full day at YMCA at High street. So I took my pedometer and went to High street. The sum of the work day of steps? Give or take 9,243 steps! How is that possible? Seriously, doesn't seem like that much. Let me explain my job. I watch kids. I most stand around, escort them everywhere. Just to make my feet feel better, I tend to walk a lot in a small space during explanations. I know I shouldn't. Also, the thing about High Street it means, I have to walk up and down flights of stairs at least 4-6 times a day. The calorie tracker says I burned 831.8 calories. I wonder how reliable this all is?

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I went to go to work. Checked the mail and two of the things I ordered were there! I got my Temple of Jehen: Ultimate Bellydance workout. I watched it and it really is ultimate. A little more intermediate. I shall wait a bit till I use that!

I got Bellydance for Core Fitness. WOW. I am just watching the tutorial for posture. It is so much more in depth! WOW. I have yet to view the work out. From what I have viewed from the exercise portion that it will be good for me without being too much.

Measurements!

I'm a fatty. *cry*

neck: 16 inches
boobs with crappy bra: 54 inches
ribcage: 45 inches
waist: 45 inches
hips: 66 inches
Upper thighs (largest part of my thighs): 33 inches
Calves: 16 inches

And I ordered:

Bellydancing for Fitness:- A book on bellydancing. :p
water bottle-I have a problems with cups and drinking water and finding a water bottle I liked. So, I decided to buy one from a company that all the 4-H staff get bottles from.
AND
Bellydancing for Core fitness-A hour and a half tutorial on basic bellydance moves with a 30 minute workout. All the reviews on it were great. :rofl This is the second bellydance DVD I have gotten lately from the company that made it.

Calories burned..hmm

According to this..

My job which is a YMCA Group leader with the prime time programs consumes...300-400 calories. Belly dancing can burn 250-300 calories. Housework consumes 150-200. Sex consumes 200-400. Interesting because I should be doing all those everyday. Hmm.

I think I should invest in a jump rope. It can burn 400 calories.

Mini Goal and More!

I decided to have a mini goal. This goal is to loose around 10" off my hips. I am pretty sure I remember from when I did duct tape dresses, my hips were 60 or so inches. I figure I can reward myself with getting the bellydance weight belt. I could also wear this when I am at work and walking around.

Today I reviewed the YBB tapes. Total toning isn't that cardio heavy. I don't think I will do that one as much. I also ordered a new Belly dance DVD. It is the Ultimate Bellydance Fitness Workout. It was real cheap on overstock.com. I read the reviews on amazon. It says it is really fast and doesn't teach it. But I have teaching dance DVDs and I have belly dance books. Therefore I am set.

Man, I wish I had more workout videos...

So, I realized when I was making my video rotation that I need more videos. I mean, yes this will work for now but I want more variety! Yes, I have tons of FIRM videos but I don't have the step, therefore it is useless.

Currently my workout will consist of:
YBB Toning, YBB Fat Burning, YBB Hip Hop Abs, YBB Cardio Caberet, Yoga Fusion and Bellydancing for Fitness with Veena and Neena.

*sadness*

While Watching Infomercials...

I decided to post the workout programs I want to try one day.

1. The TransFIRMER Series by the FIRM. Yeah, I have the FIRM stick but the most important thing in the FIRM systems are the steps which I do not have.

2. Zumba. I noticed that East High YMCA has Zumba classes. Though their website (the YMCA one) does not say perfect for beginners. Therefore, I will wait a few months into doing things to go try a class out.

3. Core Rhythms. You must noticed that I am a dance junkie. *shifty eyes*

4. Fluidity Bar. Oh, and a yoga/pilates junkie. I just can't imagine doing normal cardio all the time. I know I will get bored. (And yes, I know FIRM is normal cardio but the success stories have me pinned)

5. I am rather curious to find out what the shapely secrets thing is. I mean, I could do those thngs while standing at work maybe. *shifty eyes* But it never shows what they do to get these results. I googled "motionless exercise" and I do believe it is derived from some Asian thing because a Bruce Lee book popped up. I shall ask Mark about it. I am currently thinking of the standing crane shit.

Yoga Booty Ballet!

Well, today my mom bought me Yoga Booty Ballet . I am uber excited. I remember hearing about it a six or so months ago and wanted it. This is one of the many videos I've been wanting. It came with the 3 workouts and the two live videos. It also came with a squishy ball. Anyways, I am hoping to try it out after I clean this weekend.
